We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager looking for professional growth in our company. The right candidate will report to the General Manager andoversee the daily operations of our kitchen in a high-volume pizzeria located in Montauk, NY. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food quality, kitchen efficiency, and team leadership, ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. They will also work closely with the Bar Manager to ensure the company's ongoing success. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed. Inventory Control: Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure stock levels are maintained to meet the demands of the business. Cost Management: Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and waste to maintain budgetary goals. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Menu Development: Collaborate with Ownership and General Manager to develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, consistently reviewing and improving kitchen processes. Customer Satisfaction: Address and resolve any customer complaints related to food quality or service in a professional and timely manner. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and financial reports. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant or pizzeria. Education: Culinary degree or relevant certification always fun. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Proficiency in inventory management and cost control. Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
